Parna will be exhibiting at Top Drawer Spring. Top Drawer is a design led home and gift trade fair held in the Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London. We are excited to be introducing some more embroidery designs and other items in our "from vintage" range. A sneak preview will be available on this blog soon.

Transylvania

I have just arrived back from Transylvania. Here are some pictures of the house I stay in in the village. This is the "best "room and shows the traditional decorative bed, this is a particularly splendid one with lots of cross stitch embroidrey. The traditional pillows are piled high with the decorative part facing outwards. There are two mattress covers stuffed with straw, you can just about see the ends poking out , they are covered with two decorative covers.

With lots of lovely pictures eco home and garden is an engaging online eco magazine. The October issue is just out and features parna bags and cushions

Home spun vintage hemp hanks

I have just come across hanks of this......vintage home spun hemp.. hard to believe that from this (and of course hours of weaving work) came the beautiful cloth that was made into sacks!

Last months best seller was our hand embroidered on vintage linen "heart cushion" beautifully embroidered in taupe or dove grey on hand woven vintage linen.
